I apologise for the flood of clips from You-Tube that I am posting here there and everywhere! No, actually I don't apologise. I hope that the video clips are bringing a different level of media that will be helpful, encouraging and stirring. There are loads of fantastic clips on You-Tube of theologians and speakers such as John Piper and I could put clip after clip of him. But I am resolved only to put clips that are going to be faith-stirring so I won't post theological clips just for the sake of it.
This clip might be controversial. Maybe some will stop reading this blog because of it. But I was listening to Rob Rufus speaking at Prayer and Fasting and he mentioned Kathryn Kuhlman - the great healing evangelist from the 1970's. Rob told a story that I have heard Terry Virgo mention before. He told of a man who accompanied Miss Kuhlman for the first time to a conference centre. The man wasn't very impressed with her and was simply doing a job but he became frustrated because Miss Kuhlman wouldn't go out on the stage because "He's not here yet". She walked up and down weeping till her mascara ran down her face until suddenly the man said he could feel the atmosphere changed - he said that she turned with a beaming smile and said; "We can go now - He's here".
I don't really know whether Kathryn Kuhlman did wrong things or not - maybe she did - but I am certainly not going to judge that. What I do know (as Rob Rufus said) was that Kathryn Kuhlman knew the Holy Spirit in a way that I can only dream of - and I want to learn from that.
So here's the clip - it's very short.
