I mentioned this prophecy on the "Life on Wings" blog a few days ago in relation to my great encouragement at meeting George Kouri - an apostolic father from the USA and a spiritual son of Ern Baxters. I remembered that Greg Haslam prophesied that we would not remain exclusively Newfrontiers in the future and that we would meet other apostolic movements of churches and Ephesians 4 Ministries. The meeting of which would produce "light and irresistibility". It has been amazing to benefit from Rob Rufus's ministry at Brighton last year and to be able to look forward to him again this year. This prophecy is coming true just in these two examples! Here is Greg:
“But now in Christ Jesus you who were once far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. His purpose was to create in Himself one new man out of the two thus making peace and in this one body to reconcile both of them through the Cross to God and He came and preached peace to you who were far away and to those who are near for through Him we now have access to the Father by one Spirit”.
And I believe that God is giving us a taster by looking around and experiencing the corporate dynamics of the Holy Spirit on a gathering so diverse and so disparate at a conference like this with so many ministries who don’t normally move among us, blessing us and touching our hearts by the power of His Holy Spirit. All through today I have been seen a very vivid picture of a crucible. A large hemispherical crucible over a flame and in it the Lord is pouring quantities of filings of metal which are evidently Newfrontiers people and ministries into this crucible. But strangely other filings are being poured in alongside it in heaps. Unusual metals with unusual glittering sheens to them. Metals we are finding hard to define what they actually are but we know that they are part of God’s bigger purposes for His people. As these filings accumulate in the crucible alongside of us I have seen that the Lord turns the heat up underneath – very, very intense hot flames – that hot flames on this stiffened odd mixture where actually some of us would have felt that doesn’t belong here. What are we doing in such close proximity to these people and what they stand for and represent? In history strong alloys have emerged through just similar experiments that metallurgists have conducted putting metals together that no one would have thought could ever mix but under heat bronze and steel and titanium alloys have emerged.
As I saw this crucible heated over the fire a catalytic element was very present and obvious. The catalysts being the agent of change for all the metals in the crucible. I believe the Lord is saying by this that Newfrontiers particularly is to expect a divine action – a corporate divine action in the life and experience of us all with unforeseen and unpredictable elements being brought by the Lord in very close proximity and in large numbers to us. If you think in terms in multiples of ten of the numbers represented here you have some idea of the scale of what I have sensed the Lord wants to do. 30, 000 – 60, 000 – 90, 000 until there is no conference centre big enough to hold the numbers of people who are being affected by this. And there will come a special intense operation of the Holy Spirit among us – not dissimilar to what we are experiencing these days but much more profoundly effective in its long lasting results among us. The Lord will significantly change heart attitudes rather like the way He worked at both ends of the problem when He caught hold of Cornelius the Roman centurion and Peter the apostle so the Lord will help the Peters among us to hear, “Do not call unclean what I have called clean”. There will be such an openness and receptivity among us to something that God is gathering and heating under the power of His Holy Spirit.
The catalytic element will be the Ephesians 4 Ministries not only in our ranks but those whom God is raising up in these other groupings that He will gather to us. I saw a new form and set of characteristics shaped under this heat and the presence of so many diverse groups that crosses national boundaries and denominational boundaries and political boundaries and spiritual boundaries. The Lord is calling for a new largeness of heart and generosity of spirit to give away all that we have heard, received and experienced from Him, understood in terms of His truth – that we are to set no limit whatsoever on the export of what we have found and what we have grown and what we have received from the Lord within our own borders – for there are no embargos, there are no cartels, there are no limits on the transference of goods across His people. There are only man-made barriers which the Holy Spirit can break in blessing His people. Because this is about to bring about a wonderful alloyed union of very disparate elements we can expect that with any alloy God will bring about an extraordinary glistening beauty in the metal that is formed and an unbelievable strength. We think we are strong now but there is something extraordinary going to happen that will be light and unbreakable. Light to be mobile and unbreakable to be irresistible no matter what pressures countermand what God wants to do.
As with any alloy there are unforeseen applications of this metal. It is in effect going to forge weaponry, swords, and the sword of the Word of the Spirit of God through our agency. It will bring about universal acclaim as many of these alloys in history have done as everyone have realised their worth and began applying it and using it in unforeseen ways. It will be the fulfilment in other words of Ephesians 4; “It was He who gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers to prepare Gods people for the works of service so the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity of the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. No longer infants tossed to and fro by the waves, blown here and there by every wind of teaching. Instead speaking the truth in love we will in all things grow into Him who is the head that is Christ”. The catalytic agent here and the primary responsibility to hear from God and influence the attitudes of all the people in our ranks and beyond them are the Ephesians 4 Ministries. And God will raise up many more apostles and prophets and evangelists, pastor/teachers who will catch His heart under the intense heat of the Holy Spirit that their role is to act as a catalytic agent in bringing these unforeseen and unpredictable elements together until they number the tens and hundreds of thousands".
